Every time a double click on it it promts me to format it. Re-enable the chip, I think the main and only problem here is that you are misunderstanding ‘information’ for an error message, there is no error it is merely ‘post’ information letting you know there is no RAID array, a mbultrw133 from the Promise chip’s BIOS, it’s not something you have to do anything about and disabling the chip prevents the BIOS of the motherboard from seeing the IDE controller, hence cant install anything.

It sounds like you don’t have anything connected to that Promise controller anyway, correct? mbhltra133

You should see all connected drives at the main menu. I would make sure your drives are hooked to the IDE connectors and not Raid. Copyright -Tech Support Forum. Disabling it disables the message since it’s no longer looking for drives on those channels.
